Send an e-mail to Cromwell_Newsletter@hotmail.com to correct or add your e-mail address to the list. Upon request, your newsletter will be mailed but HOA is hoping to keep paper and postage costs to a minimum. Newsletters are no longer hand-delivered.

JUNE 2010 NEWSLETTER
HOMEOWNERS MEETING 6/2/10

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Dan Pugh, President, with two other board members and four homeowners present. Barbara Fuller distributed the Treasurer’s Report. Total expenditures for May were $7,150.36. Assets include: operating account: $17,292.95 and reserve account $130,043.84.

Old Business

  1. The new Post Office Box Number is P.O. 9832 Baltimore, MD 21284-9832. 

  2. The May Homeowner’s meeting was well attended. The Police officer said there were no major crime issues in our immediate community. Vandalism is a problem.

  3. Homeowners who have not completed ARC recommended repairs may contact the ARC and explain, ask questions, or request reconsideration. arc@cromwellstation.net

New Business

  1. The next Homeowner’s meeting is in September. Volunteers for openings on the Board and the Landscaping and Architectural Review Committees are urgently needed.  Homeowner’s are asked to consider taking a turn serving. Openings exist for Vice President, Treasurer, and Board member at large. Newcomers to Cromwell Station are encouraged to attend the September or October meeting to see how the Board works. Elections will be held at the annual meeting on November 10, 2010.

  2. So far, the County does not have funds for Dumpster Day. If anything changes, Ms. Marques will let us know.

Open Forum

  1. One homeowner asked about lowering annual dues. Costs are kept as low as possible.

  2. Ms. Marques will send a letter to the neighbor whose broken chain link fence is seen as you enter the community.

  3. A question was asked about planting replacement trees between the homes on Roger Valley and Tigreff. It is unclear whether this property is considered “common ground.” Homeowners are asked to refer to the deed plots to see where their site boundaries are located. Let the Landscaping Committee know the results.

CROMWELL STATION HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
MARCH 2010 NEWSLETTER

The March meeting was postponed from March 3rd to March 10th due to a scheduling conflict at Pine Grove Middle School.

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Dan Pugh, President, with two other board members and three homeowners present. Barbara Fuller distributed the Treasurer’s Report. Total expenditures for February were $4,684.12. Assets include: operating account: $15,018.23 and reserve account $128,644.11. Anticipated bills for the February snowstorms will be over $20,000 which will put us over budget in this category.

Old Business
1. The new directory was printed and mailed to homeowners in March. The Board will ask the Management Company for continuous updates on new homeowners so that future printing errors will be avoided. Homeowners are asked to update their e-mail addresses and submit any other corrected information in an e-mail to hoa@cromwellstation.net.
2. Homeowner Meetings are now being held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Pine Grove Middle School, 9200 Old Harford Road, at 7 p.m. in the first floor library.
3. The signs announcing the monthly meetings have not arrived as yet.

New Business
1. The P.O. Box 8456 is inactive. A new P.O. Box will be set up soon, and that address will be posted for homeowners on the website.
2. Because of a shortage in the number of board members (currently three), the e-mails sent to the Homeowner e-mail address in 2009 were not being answered in a timely manner. The current Board is attempting to work through the backlog of e-mails. Thank you for your patience.

Open Forum
Discussion took place regarding the recent snow removal problems. In future emergencies, the Board hopes to communicate updated information via the website and e-mails to homeowners.

CROMWELL STATION HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

JANUARY 2010 NEWSLETTER

TRASH ALERT from Baltimore County:  The County has complained to the Management Company about several cars being parked at the turn-arounds on Kathsway, Forest Valley and Roger Valley.  The County advised they will not pick up trash if this condition continues as they cannot turn their trucks to exit.  Do not park on the turn-arounds on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

BOARD MEETING 1/6/10:  The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Dan Pugh, President.  Board members, Barbara Fuller and Sarah Drexler, and two homeowners were present.

 The Treasurer’s Report was distributed.  Total expenditures for December 2009 were $11,306.88.  Total expenditures paid for 2009 were $76,564.05.  Total Assets of $210,200.58 include: checking $1,000.00; two money market accounts and a reserve account of $128,644.11.

Old Business

1.  A new homeowner telephone directory is still in process and will be printed soon.  

2. The Holiday Lights Contest was cancelled due to the December snowstorm.  It was suggested that a Best Front Garden Contest be held in the summer.

New Business

1. Dan Pugh will arrange to host the captain of the Parkville Police at the May 5, 2010, Homeowners Meeting.  All homeowners are encouraged to attend to hear a report of crime and crime prevention relating to the Parkville area.

2.  Barbara Fuller reported that Bank of America is providing the HOA good service.

3. There was discussion concerning snow removal on the common area sidewalks.  Dan Pugh will find out what needs to be done. 

4. Homeowners are being notified by the County about the new single stream recycling program to take effect on February 2010.

5. The ARC will begin walkthroughs in early spring.  A request was approved to purchase walkie-talkies so that the ARC reps are able to assess fronts and backs of houses in sync.
